Just stumpled across this one and Love the story so far (even though I'm with others as to Buffy being such a Bitch - you'd think since the Monk said they were both suppose to protect the key she'd try a little hard to be tolerant). I am confused about a couple timing issues - in Cht 7 Buffy become so tired/ill that Spike takes her to his crypt and puts her to bed in the lower level with black satin sheets. And in cht 8 she takes her Mom to Spike's crypt for protection. Then in cht 10 she acts like she's never seen his crypt with the 'thought' "so this is where Spike lives" the 2 paragraphs further "she recognized the sarcophagus. She had often walked in..." and then "she jumped at the sight of a pile of human skulls..." If she's been there before why would those skulls cause her to jump? So you see, I'm a bit confused about the timeline - BUT THAT DOESN'T DETRACT FROM MY ENJOYMENT IN YOUR WRITING OR THIS STORY. I'm just wondering if I'm lost somewhere or what. Please update soon and I'm counting on your statement to another reviewer that you are a romantic and love happy endings - cause after all that Spike is going through now, I really need to be looking forward to that happy ending. Author's Response: I guess I might have made it seem like Buffy never saw the crypt. What I wanted it to be was that she never really paid attention to the details of it. And the lower level with the skulls, that was her first time seeing that. HIs bed was supposed to be in another place. I'm not sure if Spike has two underground areas in the show, but I made it so here. Mainly b/c I made him have a bed earlier than in the show, and then I needed her to find his little shrine and for him to tie up Dru. In the show that might be the very place he makes his bedroom later on. Does that make sense?

Ack!! No, no, no, you are supposed to be fixing it. The chapter was great, even though it was sad. Please let your next update have lots of Spuffy. Pretty please?

Okay, you say that Buffy eventually will be more nice with Spike, and all. My question is, you mean for 'eventually', in the last chapter? Because this Buffy-bitch really is a pain...

Damnit! *swears up a blue storm* I'd like to give Buffy a piece of my mind. I know you're doing a great job keeping this canon, and that Spike hasn't really proven himself to Buffy yet, but it still makes me madder than heck. Self-righteous stupid little girl. It just breaks my heart to see it tormenting Spike like this. Please update soon, 'cuz I don't know how much my heart can take! Wonderful, amazing, incredible angsty chapter.

You're doing a good job intermingling Season 5 dialogue with your original plot. I like that Buffy is taking her time jumping on the "Spike's the father band wagon," it's more believable. Spike's frustration and attachment are being well written. as are Buffy's conflicted emotions. This is drawing me in more with each chapter

Ugh! Can I kill the two of them?!?!? lol I mean their behavior in this chapter was totally believable and within characters, but still...I just want to smack some sense into them! Tell me it will happen soon. ;) Loved the scene in the baby store with the little girl. So cute.

That bitch! The both of them could really stand to take a step back and reevaluate... but alas, those two are always too stubborn. Hopefully the baby will be able to pass a little influence. Quite angsty, but still a wonderful chapter.
