Must easier on the heart chapter here. Still a great story despite my personal sensitivites. I like how Spike went to Giles and I love that he almost went Ripper on him.

I like that Giles was the intervening father figure and stood up for Buffy. So many emotions with both of them *sigh* but that's what makes it so good. Author's Response: Spike is a mess, emotionally right now. Buffy isn't in much better condition.
It's going to take an act of desperation on Buffy's part to really bring on the catalyst needed for these two to reconcile.

Definitely not too bad, but I wish it would have been longer (even though it was really long, but I'm being greedy LOL). Spike's going to have a lot of redemption for that little stunt. Even if he was drunk- Buffy lied by omission, but he obviously knew what he was doing, since he pushed 'the poet' away and let Spike take over. Please, please, please update really soon!

Actually, there's something else Buffy has been keeping from Spike, and I was going to bring that into the mix of the rape, but changed my mind.

I'm glad you gave us the tamer version. I'm not crazy about rape in fanfic, especially the idea of Spike raping Buffy. So even though I see that is is neessary for your plot, I'm glad you made it short and not terribly graphic.
Author's Response: I know, I'm not a fan either, but I felt this was the only way to reveal exactly how 'enraged' Spike was.
He was wrong, of course, to do this, but I needed something really awful for hiim to have to be forgiven for.

Author's Response: I've already got the next chapter plotted out in my head. Just need to punch up some details.
However, I am going to follow your suit and place a warning in the summary of the next one.
Spike is going to react to this betrayal in a way that 'he' probably would have in the show. I think, anyway.
I will warn you of this, right now, he will start drinking the minute he goes back into the house and we all know where that might lead.
