Willow's take on the S/B relationship and on Spike is incredibly coldhearted, arrogant, and elitist. She (and the other Scoobies) assume so much about Buffy (and Spike), and it's unfortunate they had such influence. Her attitude here reminds me of the callous joking at the end of "Chosen." Good for Buffy to unequivocally stand up for Spike (as she should). I hope, both S&B don't allow their insecurities to color their decisions in a misguided attempt to do what they think is best for the other. That's Angel's MO, and maybe, Buffy will realize and not do the same as she mulls over the implications of his one human day and the memory wipe. The Immortal seems to be the elephant in the room, and I'm very curious as to how you'll handle him. Great story, and I love the snark and banter you weave amongst the angst.

Angel, the dope. Was he not listening at all to Cordy... maybe a little cause he didn't go running out after Buffy and Spike, but this whole tirade over evil changing Spike. I'm glad Buffy is at least pissed at him too. Absolutely loving Spike's refecltion too. He seems quite aware that things are never as simple as they seem and that a reward by definition, isn't always good or easy to accept. Really, want to know why exactly Connor is all pissed too. Wonderful chapter.

I love this story so far. Just read it up to this point. I think the pace is great. I've always loved thew idea of post-ATS fics, but most I've read have fallen short. They try to get Buffy and Spike together way too fast (like sex in the bathroom immediately after the final battle - sorry whoever's story that is) and that's a big turnoff for me. No matter how I feel about the final season of BTVS, I still believe that Spike and Buffy found real feelings for each other and I don't think that instantaneous mind-blowing sex is consistent with the last season. Like I said I love the story and the pace is good. Keep it up.

Willfully blind Willow. Good lord. And nice confrontation between Buffy and Angel -- and how bloody stupid is he? Thinking that telling Buffy about that day would make her see that Spike being human was somehow bad. Poor Spike -- regretting what is his reward for all the world saveage. Nice chapter, and oohhhh can't wait to see what Connor is pissed about.
