It's hard to imagine Buffy in that type of relationship, but at the same time, you put it in a way that could be believable. Plus, it's a great setting for an interesting story.

Poor Buffy - that bastard Parker deserves to get his ass kicked so he can see what it's like. I just really hope Buffy is strong and I'll be mad if she pulls one of those "But he loves me" things. Someone who hits you doesn't love you and there's no reason to stay with him! Put that jerk behind bars! (Sorry for the rant, lol.) But anyway you're one of my fave writers and I love all your stories so I'm sure I'll love this one too. Can't wait to read more :)

Once again, you take a subject and WAM! everyone loves it and has to start using their brains while reading cause you just put so much into them. I know at some point (with Willow and Spikes help) that Buffy will find the strength to get out of this relationship (she already had a 'spark' of her former self just talking with Spike) and I know you'll make us all go through hell right along with her and we'll all read it and cry out "thank you Ashlee, may I have another, please." so It's GREAT - I LOVE IT and THANK YOU ASHLEE, MAY I HAVE ANOTHER (CHAPTER) PLEASE! and SOON.

I only read the summary and that got me uber-hyped about this story so great job there. Also this is a new kind of fic that I haven't seen before and can't wait for it to unfold. It had the balance of dialogue and description and the writing made me feel I was in the story instead of just reading it. Great job.

I like the part where you showed Buffy's emotions - nobody know because they're not in her situation. If you can, I think it would help to go into this further. I think people understand that it would be hard to leave if you're married or have kids, the financial and legal attachments in addition to the fear. But Buffy is in college and has no real attachments to him, or so it seems. So, why can't she leave him?
