And yet another of your stories that I thought was great...I love AU stories and this one looks set to be a really fab one...the agony and torment these two are already putting themselves through makes really good reading, and comes across sucsessfully sweet and innocent from Buffy's pov, yet mature and agast from Spike's pov...well done...It was the age gap thing that drew me in...not because of the ten year difference but because of the her 16 to his 26...now if it had been her26 and him 36, it wouldn't have worked as well, but the fact that they are 16 and 26 is what for me will make it all so very interesting...keep going I want more...please

I remember this story so well. I read it on your site so long ago, and I’m surprised to discover you wrote it back in 2002--how time flies. Well I loved it back then, so much so that I never noticed any flaws in it at all. While at times this story has been hard work to read…hard to absorb with its levels of intense angst I have found it too compelling to walk away from. I suspect that I wouldn’t be suffer from this tight feeling in my chest from dealing with those angsty chapters, if I had done myself a favour and read only one chapter at a time, and not ploughed through all twenty-two in one mammoth sitting. But, as I said, I found it way too compelling to walk away from once I’d started. The world—or Hell—you’ve created is all too vivid, all too real, I feel I can almost reach out and touch it, which is just a little scary. Your talent as a writer and story teller is scary. I will be honest and confess that I haven’t read much of your work, but I like what I have read. And I sincerely believe that if you have a mind to turn your writing talent to the horror genre Steven King had better watch out. I’ve added you to my favourite list and will be reading more of your work in the future and I can’t honestly think of a better way to compliment you than that. Except to say that if you ever go professional, I will want your author name and the web site where I can buy your books.

Just read chapters 1-9 and loved every one of them. I feel you should be getting more reviews for this story--it's great, and I don't usually like stories with teenage settings. But I do like this one. In fact, I'm jealous that I didn't think of the plot myself, lol.
You're introduction of all the characters is pretty seamless and so easy to read--just like a real episode. I love/hate your Harmony *g* and the flagpole thing--priceless, but I'm glad to see the back of him. Now I'm in suspence waiting for the next chappy, dying to see if and when Spike and Buffy get together, or if you have Spike kidnapped by the army guys. I just love the thought of that, especially if Buffy rushes in to rescue him. That would be too cute. Thanks for sharing this with us, and more soon, please :)
