I'm a journalism student terrified of pigeons (damn those bloodthirsty flying rats) and in love with people who have a sense of humour. I divide my food into separate piles before eating it, which is probably one of the reasons people think I'm weird. Well, there is also that thing where I like to walk around my flat naked, but I assume not many people know about that.

I love writing and I know many authors have probably said this but... feedback means a lot. A LOT! If you've reviewed any fic of mine you know I always reply. Sometimes I even manage to be funny! Or creepy. I guess that depends on your point of view. ;)

My Elizabeth by Puddinhead Rated: NC-17 Liked [Reviews - 298]
Summary: A 2011 Buffy back in 1880 along with William Pratt. After an ocean voyage and a stop in New York City, our couple sets off across the American West.

There are showdowns, riots, murder and olde tyme bathing suits. The story is also chock full of history and you'll learn all the 'hip slang' from these wacky Victorians in no time. It also features a few real historical figures, but no spoilers. I'll only say that it is NOT Genghis Khan and Amelia Earhart. Put that thought right out of your mind.

Though this is a sequel to "Yours, William," it also works as a stand alone. I had to take down "Yours" as I'm rewriting as an original. You can email me about this if you want info.
Won Round 25 of the Sunny-D Awards for Best Alternative Universe. Won Round 26 for Best Drama, Best Original Character, Best Original Character Pairing, Best Unfinished. Thanks!

I always enjoy your author's notes. You feed my inner history nerd. :) And as someone who moves around a lot, I have to ask... don't you just hate it when boxes full of stuff still pop up weeks and weeks after you've already moved in and unpacked? Why does that happen?!

Oh, William, so concerned about Buffy's breasts. *snickers* That amused me to no end! And the eeriness of the old SunnyD. Man, LOVED the descriptions because you write them so well and vividly. All the awards you got were well deserved. I sure as hell voted for you. ;)

Btw, this made me legit shudder. 'The earlier sensation of prickles along her back grew more pronounced, as if a metal spider were patrolling along her spine.' Aaah, creepy visual. I loved it.

Can't believe this story's almost over because I'm going to miss being excited for a new chapter. But at the same time, it's been amazing and I can't wait for the grand finale!!! :)

Author's Response: You\'re too nice to me and I don\'t deserve you. I know this. Just letting you know that. Thanks so much for the juicy review. I love the things you pull out that you like because you\'re the only person that likes them! That I know of! And I love that. Having trouble with the next chapter but chipping away at it, like at an iceberg with a toothpick. A METAL toothpick tho! What are you working on lately anyway?

Aaaah, the brilliance of working in the Bram Stoker just tickled me! :D And it was a very interesting tidbit I didn't know about. One of many, many reason why I LOVE this story so much.

Oh yeah, who wouldn't remember Uncle Thomas and the hilarious dumping of the pudding right on his head. :D

Author's Response: Thanks EoR! I didn\'t know a lot of this stuff either - and when I found it out while researching, I got VERY excited. Esp. about the Dracula connection!

Oooh, this kept me sitting at the edge of my seat from the first sentence to the last! I can't tell you how much I freaking LOVE the fact the villain are humans because I think it was a hard and a brave choice on your part, and I've always wished Joss took that same choice in S4 and made the people be villains instead of Adam. It's much more interesting this way and I just love the way you write. Can't wait to see what happens in the epilogue!!!

Author's Response: Thank you so much EoR. One of the neat perks of this story has been getting to know you (and your writing). And I agree with you. If history shows us anything, its that people can be prime monsters

God damn it, Puddin, you made me cry. I couldn't have hoped for a more perfect ending. And actually, I loved the fact the ending is sort of open and lets us draw our own conclusion as to where they ended up.

They've grown throughout this story so much and to the point where William ended up being the perfect and equal partner to not just Elizabeth, but to Buffy, the Slayer.

It was a beautiful story full of heart and humour and if the world was fair, it'd be talented writers like you earning shitloads of money instead of awful writers (cough, E.L. James, cough) without a speck of imagination. I'm really looking forward to reading anything new from you, whenever that may be!!! Love your stuff.

Author's Response: THANKS. This is going to be one of those reviews that I save for days when I feel like I can\'t write for shit. Which is lots of days! Hope to be back with another story soon.

This chapter was melancholy, heart wrenching, sweet, hopeful and funny all at once. I enjoyed every single line so damn much!! Loved how Buffy stepped back when necessary and was there to give William something he didn't know he needed. *happy sigh*

Absolutely amazing and the word whirligigs was a cherry on top of this delicious greatness. :D Also, thanks lots and lots for the recipe!! I'll have to try it out because it's over 100 degrees here and I'm melting.

Author's Response: Thanks EoR. This was one of those chapters that I suppose I was never gonna like. Glad you found some good stuff in it. I hope to like it better one day!

More chapters is better, I say! :D And this one was so freaking gooood... although I'm very much on the fence about Billy dying because I loved his character A LOT, it's also amazing that William managed to overpower him, as beaten as he was. But that's him, beating the odds as he always does. :) The tension in this chapter was incredible and I can't wait to read more!!!

Author's Response: Thanks EoR. As excited as I was to write the duel scene, for some reason it was a chapter that wouldn\'t \"stick\" and I kept doing major rewrites daily. I\'ll never understand the trick to this writing thing! Anyway, yeah, I\'m right with ya on being sad a losing Billy! :( What I really wanted was a conversation between Billy and Oscar! *sigh*

Aaaah, what a devious cliffhanger! So eager to read more. Are Dru and Billy still around? Can't wait to find out and also... poor William. He just keeps finding himself in all sort of crappy situations. If that doesn't create great conflict and angst, I don't know what does. :D Again, an amazing job. Really, truly enjoyed the chapter and the quirky presence of Oscar.

I remember telegraphs! They still sold them at post offices when I was little though hardly anyone used them. This makes me feel old even though I'm only 21. lol

Author's Response: Cool that you remember telegrams! I once sent a fake one. Well, it was a real telegram to a businessman in my hometown, but it was from \"GOD\". It\'s a long story :) You have to love telegram speak. The Dru and Billy question will be answered. It\'s at the betas now. Thanks so much for your enthusiasm and support EoR :)

Bless you for the notes at the end, I always enjoy reading them!! I never knew what Oscar Wilde looked like and I'm surprised to find out how handsome he was. Gorgeous and smart?! Wish there were more men like that around today. :D I love the way you write him because he brought levity and humour into an otherwise tense situation between Buffy and William. Speaking of, brilliant writing there... it felt true and heartbreaking and why the hell aren't you writing original fiction?? Although I'm selfishly glad you're writing Spuffy fics. ;)

Btw, not sure if you're aware of this but when they were inventing Spike, they were deciding between the English punk persona and Western-like southerner. Just find this story and William being dressed like a cowboy an awesome parallel.

Author's Response: Wow. You are so nice to me. This is one of those reviews that I\'ll take out and read on dark days. I\'m glad you liked Oscar. The first draft of the past chapter, I called him \"Fingal O\'Flahertie\" and \'based him\' on Oscar Wilde because I was too intimidated by the real guy and thought I couldn\'t do it. I wish I would have done the William as a cowboy as an intentional parallel, but alas. :) Thanks EoR!

I feel for William so, so much. Apparently, as soon as Buffy becomes a slayer she snaps back to her tendency of pushing people away, which is such a big part of her character. LOVED William's POV, Oscar Wilde as Buffy's watcher, all the wonderfully written descriptions and insights. Can't wait to read more!!

Author's Response: Thanks so much EoR. Oscar is kind of a larger than life person to tackle. It\'s good he\'s at the end of the story or I\'d curl into a little intimidated ball!

This version of Buffy is just the best. So Buffy-like and delightful. It's just like her to buy an ice-cream for the ship's employee George. Always a rebel not concerned with what's 'supposed to be done'. Love it! :)

Author's Response: Glad you like her. She has plenty more impolite moments ahead :) As an American in the UK I always felt like I didn\'t know ANY of the rules for how to behave in public :)

Well... shit. I'd say that explains William's situation quite perfectly, wouldn't you? Also, is it weird that I never found the whole chaining Buffy up thing weird? I honestly don't know what they were so upset about. He did it because she wouldn't listen! Or the Buffybot... come on, if you could, wouldn't you want a... let's say a Spikebot of your own?? No? Is it just me who has no morals? Okay then.

Author's Response: Preachin to the choir. I was always on his side and wrote an unpublishable response to her being chained up once too!

Hahaha... should we call you Puddin the Bloody? :D That magnificent poem totally made my day. The height of artistry, I say, and everyone who dares to disagrees deserves to be whipped! Poor Sepp thinking with his weisswurst rather than his bigger head. May he and his hard on rest in peace.

Author's Response: Ha, thanks for this. I had forgotten entirely about the poem :)

Treating hysteria with orgasms? Ingenious, I say. Ingenious! After all, crazy ladies just need to get laid, right? ;) And I'm horribly pervy for saying this, but I'm hoping William and Buffy will try to take advantage of this... ehm... advanced technology.

Author's Response: Crazy huh? It\'s where we get the word \"hysterictomy\" from and everything :( Women weren\'t supposed to get a happy from sex. Poor fools

I do believe Dr. Crowdner has a bit of a voyeuristic streak. ;) Also, how did they treat hysteria in men, or were men simply not believed to suffer from such an affliction?? I imagine they would use some kind of ball-tickler.

Author's Response: I wish! The \'weaker, emotional\' females were the only ones afflicted. Dipshit dudes...

Is it possible to be melted into a puddle of goo, going 'awww' and fan yourself from the incredible hotness of it all?? Only here! :) Got to say I was very delighted to see the return of the ultimate Victorian cock blocking device. How kinky! I like. ;)

Author's Response: Haha. Originally, when I plotted this, the scene was very bondage like and Buffy was in pissed mode. By the time the scene came along, their relationship was at a different point and that wouldn\'t have worked
