Awww, poor Spike thinking all bad because he might have saved them earlier. He didn't know though, he just didn't want to hurt Buffy, which is of the good. Respectable.

Also totally understandable that they didn't want to go back into the house, but it was safer than being outside where other wild things could get them. Also, the house could hold the key to getting to the portal. Stupid Unari, I wonder what else they will have to do to find the portal.

This part made me laugh so hard:
Buffy's eyes widened when she felt something hard poking her hip. "Um, Spike, what's that hard thing poking me?"

"That means I like you."

Heehee, definitely something Spike would say, no matter how new the relationship is lol.

I can't wait to find out how they get out of this ugly trail. I hope it won't be too much work for them.

Well, its good that they got to talk to the Unari, or representative, but I don't know if I trust what they say. If they are so loving of the key, they might not really want to let her leave so they can keep her safe. Maybe Buffy should ask to leave, then come back after the time for Glory to open the demensions is over, so Dawn is safe and Buffy doesn't die, then go back and retrieve her? But then again, I understand why Buffy won't do that, because she doesn't trust the Unari farther than Dawn could throw them lol.

I hope what they showed them of Dawn is true and not a mirage of sorts. I think it would crush Buffy is something happened to her only sister.

And now they are that much closer to finding the portal. Hopefully they can reach it before sunrise, so Spike won't dust. Can't wait for the update!!

Author's Response: Exactly: Buffy doesn't trust the Unari farther than Dawn could throw them lol The other dimension would seem to be a good place for Dawn to hide from Glory, but they don't know if she really would be safe. And Buffy's still worried the Unari aren't just going to let the Key go. Time will tell ;)

Buffy has to convince herself that what she saw was true, that Dawn really is having a good time and isn't in distress. 'Cause there's not a whole helluva lot she can do until she finds Dawn, it would drive her nuts to worry constantly.

Spike and Buffy are on their way, they'll have a little trouble before they arrive at the portal... *cue dramatic music* lol

Heeeee, Angel is a dinkus for thinking Spike was cheating! Of course he was doing something uber romantic and nice for Buffy! Although, I agree with Buffy, to an outside person of Spike's plans, it did look a lot like cheating. I loved this little fic! Good job!

Awww! Poor Buffy and Spike. They're so lost! Dru is such a self centered bitch. She proposed to Spike because she knew, I bet. She knew Spike loved Buffy, and Buffy loved Spike, and she just wanted to win. Ugh, I'm so annoyed with Dru lol. When I watched the movie, I never really understood Darcy and Rachel's relationship. And I still don't. It just seems like one person living under the thumb of another, and always letting the "better" one win, no matter what it costs the "lesser". Bothers me lol. But I absolutely LOVE this story, it's great!

Author's Response: See, I hated the movie. Hated it. Because I\'d read the book when it came out and I really loved it (and the sequel, which was all about Darcy and how she coped after it all). And the book made a lot more sense, as they always do. The movie just made Rachel into this little mouse and Darcy came off as drunk half the time lol. I really hated it. I watched it for the first time last Friday and it\'s what prompted me to do this story, cause I just knew Spuffy would do it better than Rachel and Dex did lol :P

God, it's just so heartbreaking, and I just can't. stop. reading!

I actually teared up in this chapter. Actual tears welled up and a couple spilled.

Jeez, so freaking emotional. Dru is a little bit neurotic, isn't she lol. Afraid of losing Buffy, so she manipulates her and belittles her so she will cling to the only 'good' part of her life, being Dru. It's so twisted, but makes for a fantastic story. I thought that I knew what was coming in this fic, but I really didn't lol. Good job!!
