AU, Spike is a vampire, Buffy is human. Destined mating type deal, that is the basis for the plot here. (And I don't even believe in destiny so take this story-line as: The correct layout of events happened and he found her.)

Ok, ok. I have been talking circles trying to convince myself that I like this fic so much because it is just sooooo .melodramatic that it made it's way back to good. However you just made me sigh. I mean a really happy sigh with my mouth stuck somewhere between a smile and an oh.

Author's Response: Well, I wonder if the melodrama might turn you off, and I'm sorry if it does. I'm trying to keep the setting of the fic in tune with what Spike and Buffy are both feeling. And I like to kind of compare their emotions to those of a new teenage couple crushing hard on each other, figuring things out, but obviously much more serious than just that, too.
