Summary: Pre-BTVS finale. No longer able to control Spike, the First enlists the help of Ethan Rayne, promising him revenge on Buffy for his suffering the last few years. Tricking Buffy and Spike into pursuing him, Ethan sends them back to London, 1888, a time when one of history’s most notorious predators roamed the alleys of Whitechapel. Now Buffy and Spike find themselves in a deadly game of cat and mouse with not just Jack the Ripper but an “old friend” as they attempt to repair the damage that they have done to history, and find a way back to Sunnydale and the now vulnerable potentials before it is too late.
