Poor Buffy. Such a heavy burden that she feels she can't share. I do hope this doesn't drive a wedge between them. I love how you are focusing on the interpersonal aspects of their relationship, and how that is affected by Buffy's horrific past. I can't wait to see what Spike tries next to get close to her. It's great, even if everyone's depressed in the story right now, i imgaine it would be a very difficult topic to realistically work with. cause people in pain are soemtimes a little bit with the craziness. Great job, take care

****AUTHOR'S NOTE**** For some reason I can't respond to reviews, but: to Reciprocity- I wrote this before I wrote Broken, but I already had that story blocked out in an outline, so it wasn't that hard. And to spikes_niblet: the main thing I changed was the beginning (because it wasn't mine, so I rewrote the first part). The rest of the story stays basically the same (because after the original chapters, everything was mine). I did change the last chapter, because I was never really happy with it, but it's not a huge change. The basic idea stays the same, it's just the location is different. Thanks for the reviews!

The subtle stuff you had in there really got to me! The fact that she said he wouldn't hurt her shadows what sort of sick and abusive things she's had to deal with - which makes me cringe to think about. I'm glad she's finally able to be with someone who doesn't treat her that way, but I can't help thinking you're going to have her running miles away from him! At least he'll eventually help her work through it :)
