Spike could have just let the wolf kill Xander and Willow then made his run for it. Instead he saved them. Look forward to the next update

Someone might want to step in before Giles goes all Darth Giles on Spike. Like, why not investigate a truth spell well time is all of the essense. I don't quite understand why Giles (I guess its the insane amount of rage) would lose track of time and risk Buffy's safety just to exact revenge. But it is an extremely compelling line of stroytelling. I eagerly await the next chapter, and hope that their is enough internal chaos in the vampire realm to maintiain Buffy's safety. And of course, the budding Xander and Cordelia sparkage. Very full and exciting chapter. Update soon!
Author's Response: i actually thought of using a truth spell instead of a weakening spell but then i realized it wouldn't fit. Giles has his own agenda with Spike and he's trying to do two things at once. Is Buffy really his main priority or will he risk her life just to do what he's been waiting years to do to Spike? Guess you'll find out soon enough! Thnx for the review!

I really enjoyed the convo between Giles and Spike- the appearance of Giles' 'Ripper' persona was perfect. And the fact Spike giggled at one point was eerily cute:) I hope Buffy will be safe and that Giles will realize that Buffy really is in danger without Spike around. Can't wait to read more!

I hope something happens to get GIles to believe Spike. Why would he lie at this point? He's being tortured to all get out. What would be the prpose? Stupid Giles. Even in this he is an idiot. I hope that something gets figured out long before Damon or one of the other idiot vampires gets to Buffy.

That makes me very sad. And Natasha, is a little bit scary. But I have to wonder what is happening to Spike. It seems as though it's even more major than one would think, having made his disappearance change Buffy's persisting nightmare. Let us get him back soon, and stake Damon where the sun don't shine. Good update. Yeah, at least Vincent and Natasha aren't following Damon blindly. Of course Natasha still wants to feed Buffy to Damon, but she's just ticked that Spike is not acting as he always did before. At least Vincent realizes that this is a good thing. I hope they get Spike back and Damon becomes dust.

Great update! And yeah, Vincent could make a good friend (Like another Vincent I know from another series *smile*). If I didn't knew better I would say Buffy had a slayer dream of Spike. But she is no slayer (yet); right? I hope Spike's lieutenants will be able to bring him back ... but I think it will be very difficult.
