Just started reading this fic and I love it. Best line of the whole fic: "She's not the best part of you and me, Angel. She's the best part of me and Spike." I was kinda confused about the first part of the fic because Spike kept mentioning how little he knew Buffy in high school, and I definitely didn't expect it to be Fred/Angel! Good twist, this fic is really interesting.

OH SHIT!

I don't like that letter and Fred better keep her big mouth shut. I have a confession, I never liked Fred in Angel. I thought she was a phony from day one and latched on too easily to any available man that showed an inkling of an interest in her.

Sorry, just me.

Anyway, I guess this is where it gets angstsy again, right?

Good chapter though.

Grrrrr...arrrrrgh! Please update soon, I can't even begin to figure out which of the myriad scenarios running through my head right now is most likely to come to pass so won't bother trying to hazard a guess. Will wait for an update to put me out of my misery...waiting. Waiting. Still waiting, LOL.

Oh and btw - I just LOVED the little note thingee Buffy'd do with Spike. I still ask my husband if he likes me, to which he invariably responds he in fact loves me. I remind him that as grateful as I am for his love we started out friends and I hope I'll always be somebody he can like as well as love. Crazy? Probably. Still important though? Oh most definitely.

Author's Response: I did the note thing when I had started dating someone in college and it just seemed like a cute thing that Buffy would do to make Spike feel good. And you are definitely right about it being important that he likes you as well as loves you.

Those were some intense chapters (sorry, playing catchup....again!). Glad Spike chickened out on the "big" secret, but if Buffy truly believes all that destiny crap - then Spike's little subtefuge shouldn't matter.....especially considering the love factor. more please

I enjoyed the flashback with Fred, especially Spike calling her on being selfish. I'm looking forward to the truth coming out, but it adds tension to have Spike not being completely honest with Buffy.

Well, here's the thing. The truth is, Spike didn't know about Fred until they were almost to Buffy's house, right? Actually, he was somewhat innocent in this mess. How did he know that Angel and Fred would run off together?

Now, he knew the first thing in the morning, but then again, they left right after he found out.
It's just too confusing I guess.

I really think he should come clean as he might be surprised about the outcome.

Guess Spike chickened out..I am dreading when it finally does come out in the open. I just hope that Buffy will be in a better frame of mind and be able to put it in to perspective.
