I think it was perfect to make Spike the one to break down. All this time, Buffy has been the soft, sensitive one and Spike has been the strong, macho man. It fits and shows how Buffy's love can be the one to shake his foundation just as he shook hers. Please continue asap!!!

Please don't let it be long before buffy and spike reunite again. those two are made eachother. you're truely a great author. i nearly broke down in tears when i read the chapter. you inspired me to write my buffy/spike story. i've posted it up. please read it and let me know what you think. Hey Patty, my reviewing his moved from AFF to here...simply because I like the layout of this better. Wonderful chapter. Not overdone at all. Devlin is allowed to cry, he's only human. I sat here with my heart breaking, wondering why she couldn't tour with him, and then almost became angry with myself for wanting her to give up everything for him. Loved the new chapter. I had a boyfriend who was in the service, and every time he left to fly out somewhere, he would break down and I'd reassure him and then go home and lose control. This chapter was so well-written that I actually could remember every emotion going through me at those times. Of course, it would have been even harder leaving Spike! Love the story.

It makes since that Buffy seeing small ones cry everyday sometimes for perfectly good reasons would be the one to hold in her tears. Spike wears his heart on his sleeve so his display would make sense.
