Again crying on the job... you'd think I'd know better than to read this here by now, but I just couldn't wait to do so when I got home.

I felt a ray of hope even though Buffy blamed him, and I'm gonna hold on to that ray at least till the next update (which I hope will be soon *bats eyelashes*) This is a magnificent story and I love it immensely!

AHHHH this chapter was amazing! Can't wait for the next! Fuckin' Giles (that was a necessary expletive)!! Bastard (again)! Love to see the immorality (and the rare goodness from some!) on all of the different characters. Really making this a continually interesting read. :) Can't wait for more!

I have to admit...I have no idea what's gonna happen next. I know Buffy's furious and scared. She has no idea what to do with Spike. Plus there's an ultimatum with the Council's money. Wonder if it'll have to do with Spike. Probably. I really wish this would work out for Spuffy, but I can see how it won't. Hopefully, they'll make it out of this.

oh, but you do know how to go for the hurt. Poor William/Spike and poor Buffy too. I don't often sympathize with her too much, but here she's really just been screwed. If anyone else had gotten hurt, she'd have simply dealt with it, but Dawn...I'm all scared now.

I live the stoner dude. And I remember when my dad entered the hospital when he had a heart attack how a nuse asked about his info., except she was nicer. OMG, Giles! Evil! With other people putting words into Tara's mouth (or telling her "no"), I think she isn't going to be Willow's gf anymore. But wait, Willow feels pity for Spike. Poor Spike.

I love how you keep all of Spikes former William anxiety going even though he's no longer human. What always grabbed me the most about Spike on the show was his "reaking of humanity" and you always capture that.
I love the Spike and Dawn battle going back and forth, very much like a little sister getting in your face and pushing all your button and putting you on the spot. And I think the scene I liked the most was Buffy being worried about her friends and them just kinda wanting to slink off because of Spike now staying there. It's very post teen like behavior where you don't wanna face your responsibilities so you use any other excuse so you don't have to deal with real things. Of course Buffy doesn't want Spike to call them on it because she herself just wants everything east even though to keep things easy she's kinda screwing herself over in the process and letting her friends do it to her.
Spike is always the voice of honesty whether you wanna hear it or not he always puts the truth out there under your nose to smell it.



Author's Response: Even before we really knew who William was on the series, there was always that sensitivity lurking just underneath the surface of Spike's character. It's a really interesting contrast between him and Angelus because, as you said, Spike "reeks of humanity." Dawn and Spike have such a wonderful relationship; I was really angry with the writers on the show when they dropped that friendship because they thought it looked "inappropriate." I suppose I just like making up for their mistakes in this story. Thanks so much for the review!

I know I'm not known for my bright ideas, and judging by the protests of my back and neck, spending about 8 hours glued to the computer (okay, I took some necessary breaks) isn't one of 'em... But I finally managed to read all 61 chapters in one go!
And all I can say is: !!!!WOW!!!! This is indeed a wonderful, and addictive story! You weren't exxagerating the characters study prospect one bit... But, as I happen to like examining the heads of the characters anyway... this is just the kind of story for me!!!

Spike does seem half crazied either from fear or hunger and hes not thinking clearly which sort is but isnt Buffy fault everybody needs to open up a little and be honest but now with Dawn getting sliced open I dont see that happening cause Buffy always reacts first and thingks second most time.
