So everything is all better because she gave him her blood? She beat him half to death. I never liked how Joss took this storyline in this dark direction. If it were reverse, and the man beat up and belittled their girlfriend no one would put up with it. I would have liked to have seen a little more realization of her actions and acknowedgement of the wrong done before Spike just up and forgave her.

Author's Response: I think most of us would have liked to see her taking some more responsibility, but she didn't - and Spike is very forgiving with the women he loves.

Good ending to a lovely little fic. I swear I didn't cheat and I am glad I didn't! Can't believe I had missed out on this gem. A very good Spuffy twist on one of the more unfortunate episodes.

Yes indeed, Buffy's blood is very powerful A welcomed gift from Buffy. But hearing her say she loves him was as precious as can be for him; more than a crumb.

Good to see Buffy regrets the beating and tried to save Spike from the coming sunrise. Oh Xander had helped him already, Spike even tried to clear Buffy's name. :) Xander was indeed nice for a chance, towards Spike and towards 'spuffy'. I can only think of one way now to make Spike better very soon.

Once in a very great while, someone will come along and make me like Xander for a little while.

Even if he has just a very small part in this fic, the implications of his actions are so very significant. Great job on being able to write that in without it being even a little bit contrived.

I look forward to the ending - I hadn't realized there was a fic of yours I haven't enjoyed yet. I am trying hard not to cheat....

Oh Buffy is going through the motions when she tries to stay away from Spike. He tried to save her from making an error and paid for it.. I hope Buffy will at last regret what she did, leaving him there helpless.

i find it a little interesting that buffy doesn't trust spike but has a problem with him not trusting her. that's so backwards. i really didn't like her in season six, especially in this episode. but i trust that ur gonna make it right. loved it.

Author's Response: Thanks. Buffy wasn't all that likable in season VI, although I cut her a bit more slack than some people do for her circumstances. And, yes, the fact that she worries that he doesn't trust her is very telling. :)
