Enjoyed the story!! Can't wait to check out where you went with it in the sequel. Interesting idea about Slayers keeping their souls, but I wonder if the Council would think to take advantage of that and just turn all new Slayers. This would create an army of undead-uber-Slayers for them - since new ones would just keep getting called each time the old one got turned. It just sounds like something power-hungry Travers might try. Sorry - my mind goes off on tangents ... Thanks for the story! :)

Nice handling of a difficult premise (hard to imagine Buffy as a realistic vampire, and other such fics I've read have not been this successful).

Yeah, now Joyce sees the consequences Buffy has to face because of being dead now. Things won't be too easy but having her soul helps. Not helping was the mentioning of Angel Buffy did. Time of the truth now (Scoobies)...
