Aw that was the best ending I've ever read to a story! So much happening at the same time and everything made me smile :)
As much as I'm gonna miss this story you couldn't have ended it better, well okay it would be nice to know about the wedding and all but still, it's sometimes better with an open ending :) You've done a great job, Pet! I hope you'll start with something else really soon :) /Cissi
Author's Response: Thank you so much, it means a lot to me to hear that you really liked my fic. I don't think I'll start on a new fic for a while, after all I have A Second Chance to focus on now. But I hope you'll read that one :)

So things have worked out; Spike and Hannah got a routine with him working at the school now. It's good to see Hannah so happy. Things are really better for her with Kathy gone. ~ Spike moving in? I'm sure too that Hannah will be thrilled :-D
Author's Response: I think so too. :) Thanks for your review!

That was the most perfect story. I loved how the last line really represented the entire story. It was so amazing. This was a really thought out and the chapters didn't seem broken apart, and there wasjust the rite amount of the elements, i.e. drama, angst, romance. It was all together perfect. I couldn't have thought o a better ending. Congradulations, you really have a winner here.
Author's Response: Aw, thank you so much for those kind words, you made me very happy. I'm really glad you liked my story so much. :)

No, no, no, no, NO!!!!
You CAN'T leave it just there, so close! You've GOT to do and Epilogue EPILOGUE addendum, to let all us faithful readers know about the baby (babies?) born, who, what, name(s), sex (yes, please, oh, for me? For HER, weeks later, but we were talking about the new littler bit(s)), & the adoption of Hannah (I bet even tho' he doesn't and never has wanted her, Angel would raise his head and find part of his pair, putting up some token fight for rights to Hannah. Since Buffy gave Hannah his last name, technically the state is prolly gonna make her prove he waives his parental rights to her...could be a sequel...Bastard could have a dna court-ordered/done on his own money, or pay for it and have Div. Child Family Svcs show up with a cop and require it. Cordelia could be a right bitch and claim to want Hannah, just to piss Buffy off or more likely to terrify Hannah...
Which of course could be BAD if it went down during the final weeks of Buffy's pregnancy, but doubtful red tape could possibly turn the processes wheels so fast...
BUT, Spike could SLAP Liam right down with those pics, eh?
Anyway, we, inquiring minds NEED to know, about the adoption you've suddenly foisted on us so quickly with that awful sneaky author's trick of tossing in a plot twist to twist the knife in the reader at the last second of the story!
AND, probably MORE or as important, we need to know about Spike and Buffy's WEDDING!
(No quickie trips to Vegas, even if they might meet a Lorne there!)
We also need to know about Spike getting his own back too...a/his job, career...does he stay a LI-BRAR-I-AN ( I love the way Rachel Weiss says this in THE MUMMY), get a f/t job at it, get a better position there or elsewhere (what about teaching the tykes, or older kids even?) or going back to writing, apparently something he loves as much as the written word (and kids and children's enthusiasm for written words); perhaps freelancing, reviewing (restaurants, books, music, whatever, freelance/syndicated), or going back to the paper ? (was it?) where he worked with slimy Lindsey...and about that, there's a score to be recouped; Spike's got some of "HIS OWN" to get back, to prove, as well, to himself and to others (his bosses for some, as well as peers/co-workers). Spike would also have to suck up and apologize and prove the efforts and strides he'd made against substance abuse since his dismissal; could in itself also be humbling...but also possibly cathartic and ultimately fill him in epiphany with pride for himself and for the life he has now, and for which he does and will give thanks.
Oh, well, since I just wrote the sequel, nope, no need, thanks anyway, toddle off...NO! I am just kidding.
I have really, really enjoyed your fic. It was mostly kinda low key, not terribly smoopy or gooey, and one which I looked forward to even several times a day when I'd check for updates for something uplifting.
It was sad, for someone to be so down on their luck, to be devastated in mind, body, soul, and to live it with them via your written word. Same for poor Hannah, a child's pain and sorrow, crying out thru various signs, the childlike elation and trust with which she reached out to anyone, and to an unknown man. The trust with which Spike endowed them and proved himself of, and inspired. And it was joyful to feel Buffy (and for that matter Spike and Hannah) opening up like petals or layers to an onion (bad metaphor, kinda stinky!) bit by tentative wanting to trust bit, over time, willing to take a chance perhaps just one more time.It was enheartening to see it play out so happily. We rollicked right along with you via your words and tale. A simple story at first glance, but the characters and their attributes, their significance, and ultimately, their endearance, proved elsewise.
Recommend this story? Oh, Yeah!
Thanks, Pet, it was lovely.

I think there should be a sequel it just doesn't feel finished, it's fiction the should be some big final showdown to the Angel part Cordelia finding out who she really married and them all living miserably ever after, I'm a sucker for happy endings.
Author's Response: Well, I guess I could've written ten more chapters about what happened to Cordy and Angel, but I chose to just focus on the Spuffy and leave it there. I'm sorry if you didn't feel like the story was finished, but it is, and there won't be a sequel. I still appreciate your opinion though, and thanks for reading my fic. :)
