What a wonderful story. You covered so much ground in such a short story. I wish it was longer - I just enjoyed it so much, but you really did the characters no injustice in the length of the story. This had a nice balance of bittersweet longing and love and acceptance. Riley having to point out William's devotion was lovely, and the way Buffy turned the tables on him made me grin. He thought Buffy would be in line for mocking, but instead it prompted her to look at her friendship with William through open eyes. Nice job.
