I totally believe Spike would make the selfless choice. And then, think he was to blame for Buffy wanting to be with him! Oh, Spike... well, I'm glad Buffy set him right!

Loved this "sappy" fic. One never tires of awesome Spuffy.

That freakin' rocked! And Ditto on the whole Spike is better than Angel thing. It always bugged me how the two were compared - but there really wasn't any comparison was there? Spike was more human without a soul than Angel was in the hundred plus years he was cursed with one.

Dare to dream that there will be some sort of sequel to this? Cause, ya know what happens when humans have sex without protection...BABIES!! Pretty please?

Spike is right not to make a deal with Wolfram and Hart; look how easy they were willing to break the one with Angel. Though it seems that W&H couldn't stand a selfless deal :)
Nice twist getting Spike human and still strong.
Loved it; I never tire of reading how Spike is so much better than Angel. :)
Hey and even Joss said recently he likes Spike. More than he did before! *g*

A joy shared by us as well. So very well put, too. I think Fred as the conduit was pretty awesome too. Fred and Illyria are both such great characters, especially with Spike. Thanks so much for this story, they were great together. I do hope your muse sparks a bit, but this was well worth the wait.

You know, it is sappy. But Angel was always doing what was right for Buffy, (no matter if it's what he thinks it's best for her w.o. her input) so I wasn't surprised by him giving in. Spike is selfish, but he really loves.

God I love this story ! Love to read from Spike's POV.
Buffy saying ILY over and over was so sweet, I almost cried.. Never did understand why Angel is theChampion when everything he does is selfish .

Sappy is good. Sappy is excellent! I agree with you that it is impossible to overstress Spike's superiority over Angel. Love the whole thing.
Any chance of the muse having a little go at 'Blood Debt'? Please?
