This is a lot of fun so far. I find a Buffy who persists with Riley after being introduced to the joys of Spike at least as annoying as the real Buffy, but then I trace the origin of my distaste for canon Buffy to her giddy look of admiration when Riley showed off the experimentation pit at the heart of the Initiative.

a lovely scene between daughter and mother - one of the things I dislike about the series was this insane idea that Buffy being The Slayer was this huge secret that had to be kept from her mother.

This is a great story; I really,really liked it.

It does need some moreediting,as there are a number of mistakes,including your/you're errors,spelling problems (e.g. should be "cocoa," not coco),vocab problems (interment is used when intimate is the correct word),continuity errors (Spike's mom is said to be Annabel at one spot,and Annabelle in another, and they decide on the name Dawn ahead of time,several chapters before her birth,but then come up with the name anew after her birth),among other errors,large and small.

So,with good editing,this fic could be truly great,as thee plot is very enjoyable!

I absolutely loved this story! The ending with Buffy and Spike was so sweet. I'm going to miss this story. :(
