Angel needed that dressing down. I hope Spike realizes she said that just to shut Angel up and that she didn't really mean it. But Angel is a prick. He runs from love all the time. Spike has to have evil motivations otherwise Angel might be called into question. If Spike can do good without a soul why can't Angel? That's something Angel isn't ready to answer... Ever.

If Angel really cared about here, he should have stayed and helped her, but he tells her that she's wrong and leaves. He's his own worst enemy.

Author's Response: Very true. Angel always lets his own self get in the way. That's why I love Spike =)

Poor Buffy, her situation are bad as it is and now she has to keep the peace between Angel and Spike and also try to figure out her feelings.

I love stories that start with Buffy back from the dead and turning to Spike. He was always the one she could trust to be consistent.
