sounds like the kelly mcgillis/ timothy hutton movie Made in Heaven; if you are basing on it great if you're not you are so following the script it's uncanny...so rent the video it was put out in 1987; so it's an oldie...and it might be kind of hard to find but it is one of my favs...but I love the plot because I loved that movie...
