Nice story. I am sure it's hard to write AU when it seems as if all of the "stories" have been told before. You're doing a good job. One thing constructively: Your beta should be catching grammatical errors such as "him and I" (should be "he and I").

Sorry, but Spike is being an ass. Not so much about the STD thing, but about the Miss Kitty thing. And then using the key she gave him after she obviously didn't want to let him him. I'd be asking for that damn key back. Except that it is Spike and probably not.

Great chapter Allison. I really like how you didn't have them jumping into anything right away when Buffy proposed sex in her dad's office. Spike's reluctance just shows his character. I am intrigued by the fact they didn't use protection, but you said it will be addressed so I will wait to see what happens. Happy Birthday, btw! I hope it was a great one!
