Aww, it was so nice!
You managed to give it just the right amount of angst too, which is always good.
If only season six had really gone tin this sort of direction. If only the writers of the show had loved Spike as much as we do, and had seen him as more than just a punch-bag who'd never replace the wonderful Angel.
*sigh* There I go again, releasing my anger on great writers, like you.
I was very sad to lose you in Spuffy_tennis, but if this is what you're writing instead, then I don't think I really mind.
Loved it.

I love this! It was fun to just imagine them together and being content. And a part of this made me reflect on "Older and Far Away". You'd think after Buffy beat up Spike and treated him the way she did, she wouldn't be sitting and playing cards with him the morning after the party... does anyone else think that's somewhat wierd? The girl who said "I could never be your girl" is playing a card game with the guy she beat up? I mean, he still was bruised! Sorry, now I'm ranting, but I really liked this incredibly sweet story!:)
Author's Response: I've reflected on O&FA also.... the way the writers make Buffy run from hot to cold... beating Spike up on minute and then touching his "cramp" the other. I imagined that after her party she started to change.... a bit here and there... barely noticable.

Awesome! And the transition was done in avery believable manner. It was a nice subtle shift from their violent, angsty affair to a more grown-up, loving relationship. And it's always nice to see Buffy stand up for herself emotionally. You also transitioned Spike nicely - letting him take his cues from Buffy's behavior.
Author's Response: Glad you like it! I have such a blast writing it! I'm glad you like the transition from a harder buffy into a "softer" buffy. One that was willing to open her eyes to waht she wants and accepting it
