You should be proud of how it turned out. This was a wonderful chapter. I love how you dealt with Buffy's range of emotions and reworked the events of FFL for this piece, using the stake stabbing as the catalyst for Buffy to connect to her baby. And the Spike moments were equally well developed and compelling. Then adding on top of Buffy's situation with a) being pregnant and b) it being a non-tradition, slayer related pregrancy, she has to deal with her mother's disappointment. Reminds me of the times pre Joyce knowing Buffy was the slayer and Joyce being disappointed in Buffy for her supposed bad behavior. More soon!!

i think you're right...they have to overcome some serious issues before the loving starts....some build up care from buffy (more UST!!!!) then of course love and romance ;) poor spike though he really loves her, she hasn't acknowledge her feelings yet one thing though hasn't buffy some residual rememberances from the night they were together.. how does she feel about it? hope you update soon thanx

loving your version of events in season 5. i'm not upset that it's not fluffy Spuffy. i think some angst will definitely keep it true to canon, and help the build-up towards the eventual resolution. angst always makes the lovin' better. great chapter!

Mmh What would I like? I don’t know … would read the other one (happy Baby fic) too, but you’re right – there are lots of it. So Ben made his first appearance. And Spike thinks the childe isn’t his. Well, normally vamps don’t have children anyway – how could he think that he’s the father … looking forward to the spuffyness. Buffy needs help to patrol if the pregnancy goes on… - Spike maybe? Poor one.

No, this story is great. I love that you are writting a Spike-Buffy baby fic that incorporates the actual events of the show. And you are right, there's no way they would be all lovey-dovey at this point. Buffy's reaction is completely within character and so believable. As was the confrontation between Spike and Buffy in this last chapter. Looking forward to how this plays out and the journey by which they do end up together, in some form or another, whatever that ends up being.
