Wow - awesome chapter!
I wonder if Anya didn't really know that Buffy did overhear them - or if she did in on purpose to split them both up. That was really angsty - to read this (what will happen with their relationship I thought) Then I was glad to know that both Jenny and Giles have a second Orb. Now that the spell did go wrong. It seems as if they could try again. And NOT good - Angel and Dru got Spike. I fear they will be torturing him. Hopefully they won't notice that he has the Gem. Otherwise, they cut him open to get it. And the quest? It's good that Buffy knows now what would have been - and still loves Spike. Or: can imaging now how deep Spike's love for her is.
What I loved best: Now you have it for always, so you can be with the one you love forever. I'm so glad to read this. Very glad.

Holy questing Slayer, Batman! That was awesome! Edge of my seat from the moment Buffy walked in on Spike and Anya's conversation to moment the young Slayer awoke alone in the desert! What will Xander do now that he's witnessed the brutal attack on his bleached roommate and the subsequent vampnapping of Sir Snarks-a-lot? What will Buffy do when she finds out? I always loved the desert part in Intervention. This was so amazing (and wonderfully written) how Buffy got to see how her life has changed. Now she understands why Spike went back.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!! that chapter was so unbelievably awesome! i loved it so much, i can't wait for the next chapter, i waspanacking for a little while there, but this is just fantastic. Wow .... again I say ... Wow. There were spacing issues with this chapter, but the content was amazing! So much to happen ... Spike being torn apart, so not good. Buffy seeing what her future would have been. I wonder what Anya's deal is. Probably since Xander is getting all fixed up, he won't go to Anya. Look forward to the next update.

Author's Response: I have no idea what was with the spacing problems. I do know something very funky happened on my laptop while I wrote this chap but honestly, these spaces don't show up on my word doc. Grrrr, thank you for pointing it out to me and I went back to the SR box and fixed manually so hopefully is all good now.
