First when reading I thought: Huh? Angel and Buffy? Thought this would be Spuffy! And than it was Dru, bringing her Daddy back! Clever girl (I mean you). Poor Spike - he thinks the real Buffy has done it. ... wonder how Buffy will feel. Looking forward to read more (what Buffy did do by example, running away in the last chapter)

Great story so far. You brought the biggest smile to my face when Giles spoke from his bed and told Spike he had aknowledged him and Anya's conversation, that was great! Can't wait for more! Oh, and hey... could you please get the " Magnificent Poof" and the nutcase Dru on the next bus to LA soon!!!!

Excellent chapterand so full! I love the way you've shifted things so that Spike can be happy and see beyond Buffy. I like his hopefulness. The return of Anya scared me, and I'm relieved to see that you found a way out of her conundrum. Lovely twists and turns in this chapter. Xander and Spike bonding was lovely to read, and the scene in Willy's was great fun. Tipsy Xander is very open and silly. Angel "needing a break" from Drusilla rang true, and didn't seem like a bad idea. Excellent description of Giles in thrall, dreamy right up to the bite. Poor Spike, saves the watcher and gets smacked and betrayed for the effort. I'm looking forward to some grovelling.

Absolutely love Spike and Xander house hunting, and bar hopping. It's been interesting watch an emotionally less damaged season 2 Buffy and how she might react to season 6 Spike; but I hadn't really considered how other characters might behave in the same circumstances. I love Xander, but he really was an ass in season 6. Nice to see him before life and experience with both soul-free Angel and evil Spike completely soured him. What a fascinating "might have been"! Looking forward to more of this story!

Author's Response: Buffy is crying because 1) her watcher nearly died 2) she defended Angel against Spike when clearly it was the wrong choice and 3) she was afraid that she was going to lose Spike because of all of it. Thanks for reading.

Oh wow. I love stories where they go back in time. :) usually it is Buffy that goes back but I think I like spike going back even more now. Oh my goodness I love it all so much but I really hope that He gets to stay in this world because wow would it ever be awful if spike got to be truley happy and buffy told him that he loved her only to have him draged back into his old world.
