I'm glad that Spike has finally decided to help her out! :-) I love the stories where Spike rescues Buffy...so sweet. I agree with Gypsy though. What about the screams Buffy heard? Will that problem resurface? Will Spike help her with that to if it does? As always, great chapter! :-)

This just gets better and better. You've really successfully conveyed Buffys frustration and fear about her situation. The Scoobs are acting like most able bodied people when faced with a disabled person, badly. Can't wait for more. I bet Riley will be totally overbearing.

I love how you've included Buffy's ease in understanding Spike. Spike has such an expressive face that he is the best possible person to be working with Buffy. Great chapter again Ashlee! I'm glad Buffy wasn't too wigged out by hearing Spike was going to help her. Although, it does mean that when she finds out he's being paid...well, she's going to be hurt. Especially after all the time they're going to have to spend together. But the angst makes the story better, so I say bring it on!

Author's Response: I left a note on Love on the Run, but since this was a new story I didn't bother to leave one on it. I'm dropping my updates back to once every couple of days- I really need a break :-) I will never abandon any of my fics, but I was getting to a place where writing wasn't holding as much enjoyment, so I'm giving myself some time. Thanks so much for the review and I'll have another update soon!

Oh I see all sorts of badness abounding if, no when, the secret of Spike getting paid to help Buffy comes out. Oh boy. This one is going to be gooood Ashlee. I'm seeing some great potential for angst and UST. I love how you are portraying Spike so far in this. Very consistent with canon at this point in the show. A little evil, but the potential is there. I can't wait to see their first patrol together!
