I will persevere to the end -- but I have to say I'm having a hard time with this fic. Not that forgiveness isn't possible - but doesn't she even see that *she* has to take the emotional risks at this point, and make the first move? To me, she's still being incredibly selfish by not sitting around for chapters now wishing he would make it clear that he wants her to stay. They'll inevitably get together -- but I just don't know how to be happy about a relationship set up on this basis. Nice writing though! I like Dawn. Love the premise of single-dad Spike. Wish I could be more enthusiastic about the whole thing.

I put off reading this because I thought I would hate Buffy too much. I still think that she got off a little easy, but I really do love the story. Very good characterzations and over all feel. Kinda reminded me of Sweet Home Alabama, only not.
