After reading it again and trying to find what was really not setting with me, it hit me.....the cookie thing would've been better coming from someone who had more experience around the oven. How can a half baked tell another half baked they need more baking time. Buffy I think is just as raw.....for she has no clue about relationships, let alone about love. She has never experienced it for herself to try and push her views and expections on someone else. Just her own adolscent experiences that gives no basis for what she has done. She is still growing as a person, and in a relationship that you do respect and want to grow, YOU do learn to compromise, and with the right support you do learn more about yourself and that can make you a better person. Where she thinks he needs to be more independent from her, she needs to learn to love is to nuture, grow, appreciate what you have....not what might happen if she doesn't set him free to find himself....for to be honest I think he knows more what he wants for himself then Buffy knows what she wants.........I see where HER own insecurites has led her down this path, and I hope soon she finds she too needs more time in the oven......maybe it is good they separate.....move on....then they both might grow up.....and Spike will step up to the plate and just tell her either you want US to work or you don't....if you don't then fine there's the door....if you do, then it's time we both start acting like adults here.......okay, done now.....need more sleep, I didn't really mean for this to be so long...sorry.

Ahh, but don't we go through that stage of not likeing something about ourselves. And I think Buffy is taking on too much responsiblity of what she thinks she has control of in his life. Dru gave him a taste of changing....and so he did without Buffy.....but he still came back to her.....why? Because she is safe and is Buffy.......not it's like she's slapped him in the face and is telling him he doesn't know how to love or be in love for he's had to experince at it... Much like BTVS Buffy telling Spike he's not capable of love becasue he has no soul.......this still all boils down to Buffy's insecurites and issues that have nothing to do with Spike having other experiences with other women.....what she want's him to have free sex and get STD's and AIDES....does she want to sleep with him after he's experienced other women, LOL....like I said she needs therapy....LOL..God, what if he get's someone pregnant....."Oh I guess that was meant to be.....", LOL! Sorry me on a tangent I know....but this one really touched something.....and I guess that's why I will read it and stay faithful to reading it until the end.....it makes me think, feel ALL emotions.......and that is what I love about a story like this......and I want Buffy to hurt, for no matter what she is doing....she is hurting herself which is nothing compared to having someone else hurt you instead.
Author's Response: Hi! See my response to Wendy up above. I understand what you're saying and at first it was about sex and his love for her, but now its something different on a larger scale. I want this to make people think and look at all angles beyond just simple Spuffy and who is the one mucking it up this time. I think there are lots of grays in this and it's not just all black and white and even though some of us hate buffy--hell even me at times and i created her!--what she's talkign about and trying to say makes sense too.

I love this story! You've got me totally hooked - way to build up the tension, emotional and otherwise. The characterization is just great - no small feat to take William to Spike in such a short time. And your Drusilla is dead-on - I could practically hear her speaking the lines. You've got me biting my nails and waiting to see what Drusilla's sinister intentions are... I anxiously await your next update :D

I love Spike/William, But this time I'm on Buffy's side ...Spike deserves everything he gets....even though I love him to death. Hopefully he will stop being such a dumbass and stop listening to Dru, and do what his heart is telling him to do...Great chapter update soon!!!!
