I've read this before, and apparently I've failed to review, sorry! And though it is angsty, indeed angstier than I usually like, it's all handled so well it just doesn't bother me at all. I really have enjoyed this fic. So well written.

i read the begining of 5 fanfics today(cuase i have no life) and only finished this one. it was a great story, i havent read any of the other reveiws, but i know how it can be hard and un practical for a battered woman to go to a shelter, and then to be able to calim self defense, and how blind young love can really be some times. so i have no beef with any of the stuff that i guess others were grated by. the only thing i wondered about was why mexico, he grew up in england, i didnt understand why he didnt try to take her there, but i can also understand cuases and the practicality of the story soooo, but thats the only thing i was like huh? on but other then that, i loved it it was a great story and im gonna look up some of your other stuff

You've done it! Taken the long and winding road of bringing them together. I hadn't anticipated the twist in who took out Angelus. You did a great job in incorporating the characters into such an au plot. Excellent writing on your part.

Miss Logan, You have dazzled us once again! I love how you are never afraid to really do bad things to your characters. You don't baby them and they are stronger for it. Good on you, for yet again surpassing my expectations!

I always love your stuff and this is no exception. Wonderful story. I like that you never take the easy road and have things wrap up nicely in a few chapters. Character-wise it was all very believable and the whodunit at the end was well done.
Love the angst, love the smut, love the happy ending, love you...

I am so happy they are finally free to be together... and with all of Liam's money!!! they both deserved it. This story was so intense.
And I would have done the same and moved somewhere else to start anew.
Great story...KUDOS!

I loved the story! Wonderful angst. I personally love it when characters have to work for their happy ending because it makes it that much more real and this story was great. Buffy's character was a good representation of how many battered wives live and the fears that they face. Too bad too few of them don't have wonderful and handsome step-sons like Spike ;)
Great story! You are an incredibly talented writer

Awe :) The children are too cute (especially Joyce).
Darla and Lindsey then; so it wasn't to protect William, it was to protect William's money for themselves.
No wonder, Lindsey (and Darla) knew that William hadn't killed Angelus and tried to get William free.
Good to see Buffy found her fairytale in the end, that they found a new being, something of their own in England. ~ Sorry to see it end now, I'll miss it. I'll be waiting for the new story, I hope patiently :)

Awww wow! What a lovely ending. You're right, this story has been an emotional roller coaster, but - to continue the metaphor - what a ride! Excellent job Addie. =)

Blimey I only started this yesterday and here I am at the end. Have to say I really enjoyed the fact that I didn't have to wait and it was fab. The age old question "where do you see yourself in ..... years?" and there they are - happy and a family. LOVED IT. Thank you so much for writing this so beautifully.

I enjoyed this story the entire way through. You're right, it was hard to read at points, but life is hard to live at points too and I think you depicted it very realistically the entire way through.
