God i have such a fancrush on you! Your stories are amazing, and so damn believable i find myself crying "Why oh why were you such a cruel bastard Joss?!"
Oh well this story and others (Included Her Way and Changes) made up for 7 horrible seasons- 2 in particular i'd prefer to forget!
I really hope to see more stories like this that take place in earlier seasons cause you are one of the few authors that does it well! Cheers!
Author's Response: Whoa! Thank you so very much! I just love these two characters so much, I have to keep writing stories about the way I wanted things to go for them. The next one is set in Season 6, with Buffy reacting better after being resurrected, but then there'll be another Season 4. I'm delighted you like my work!

I was so happy when I saw that you had posted a new story! And became even happier when I saw that the all chapters would be up so quick.
It was an really great story :) Not my favourite of yours, but still absolutely great. I liked how B stood up for herself against her friends, and that S kicked Angels' ass. A tip for the future is to not use the same sentences and such. I recognized a couple from your old stories. Dunno about you, but I don't like that kind of thing, it's like one can't come up with something new ;) And I know you can!

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it! I try not to use the same sentences. The trouble is that one thinks one's found the perfect words for something, then realize one has to find different perfect words when the same situation repeats and that's hard to do.

One thing I was scratching my head over, though: the line: "Duck,” muttered Spike to Joyce. “Blood in her eye.”
What on Earth did that mean? I know its a reference to something, and not just gobledeygook in the middle of the story, but...huh?
Author's Response: It's a British term for when somebody's really angry. "They've got blood in their eye." You know how in cartoons they always draw a mad bull with his eyes all red. Spike was warning Joyce not to push Buffy at this point or she might freak out.

Xander reacted like.. well Xander. So there's still trouble.
Even if Buffy reacted the way he does it shows that she cares :)
Loved Joyce comments when they told her that they are together [ - kind of together ;-) ].
And Joyce defense speech towards Giles.
But involving Angel? That was low... Giles seems to be desperate.
Good way to use the wish though :) Well done.

thats just wrong not only you update daily it is also great fic and had the potiential to be long fic and you stop at FIVE!!!!!! chapters thats just wrong by the way what happened to Angelus and Darla.
I wanted to see some adventure, at least one prophecy and a power boost or something.

Angelus? Angel's still got him contained. And I think at this point in canon Darla's still dusted and Wolfram and Hart haven't brought her back. Dru would be still off in Brazil somewhere.

Outstanding!
If only Buffy had been able to show such confidence and determination in her personal life on the show. She was so strong when it came to slayer stuff, but in her personal relationships she was a wimp who doubted her instincts and caved at the slightest pressure from her so-called friends.
I'd love to see a sequel to this seing how they deal with Adam and then Glory, utilising the advantages of the claim.
