I really, really enjoyed this. So well written (though I could point out some microscopic typos and grammar blips)... plot, descriptions, characters, their voices, dialogue... all spectacular. My heart broke several times and I shed many tears. I would love to hear more...how they progress, how they heal. Bravo.

Thank you for a wonderfully written story. You had me hooked from the start, you had my heart leaping, my mouth dry with horror and completely enthralled. What a ride it has been that I am sorry it is over but you tied everything up just right. You should win many awards for your style and creativity. Have just finished reading Tracker and Tracked Down. Awesome stuff - hard to read at times with its often unrelentingly painful angst but a beautifully crafted and delivered epic nonetheless. Loved the way you tied up the loose ends and gave us a very believable, bittersweet ending. Thanks for the great ride.

Such a funny (and, appropriate, what with Buffy & Spike!) ending to a very enjoyable fic! You roped me in, early on when I was leery of this one (owie---hurting Spikey!), but the fic just got better and better! And more and more thrilling up to the end! I so looked forward to each and every chapter (and was glad, that after a while 'you' didn't hurt Spike any more (Maggie did a big enough number on him early on!)). Also glad to see you wrapped up both Cam and Craig's injuries as best as could be. And glad to see Buffy and Spike wrapping things up by getting back to doing what *They* do best!!! (snicker!) Thanks for the long enjoyable read, and will give future fics more of a chance 'cos of this one.

Author's Response: Glad you liked the ending, and the ride leading up to it. To say you were roped in to reading when it's not your usual taste is great to hear - hopefully means my storytelling is doing okay :D I thought it unrealistic for Cam to be totally okay after his injuries, but thought Craig's arm was fixable! Started the fic with the bogus suicide note so though it was fun to leave the note on the fridge from the boys right at the end. Got a silly Spikecentric Fairy!Spike fic coming to lj soon but can't post it here though the second part is Spuffy :D Thanks again for reading and for commenting. i've stuck with this even though sometimes it was hard to take the angst but i knew you like happy endings and you tell such a good story keeping us on the edge of our seats right till the last chapter even as i was reading it the tension was there and i thought there must be more but then you pulled it off wonderfully at the end thanks for such a rollercoaster of a ride and i can't wait for your next story i read everything i can of yours just a pity you F-lock so much of it !!!!!!!!

This story had a lot of ups and downs for me. Sometimes the abuse that Spike suffered was too much for me. I am glad that I stuck with your story to the end. Great job. I guess Spike's killing of Maggie Walsh was as it should have been. A horrible accident. lol.

It was tempting to let Spike torture Maggie as he had been tortured, but it would have made him as bad as she was and I like painting the demons as the lesser evil. :D My next fic will be a silly Fairy!Spike but the first part is only Spike so can't post here although Buffy does pop up in part two. Well, now, there's a quite easy fix for Spike's need for revenge--- Willow should just teleport Maggie into the cage with Spike! Hey, presto! They'd be lucky to find a greasy spot left when he was done with her! Sorry, Maggie was just such a waste of air... Can't the Council pull any strings in this situation? Poor Spike, seems like so far he just isn't getting a break! Can't wait for more updates! (BTW, I was just tooling around in "OldFic-Land" for the past couple weeks... and guess whose names and VERY old fics I happened across on sites that only exist anymore courtesy of the Wayback Machine? Hmmmm... Her initials are SEB... oh, and nary a horrific thing happened to Spike in her fics in those days... why, I think I remember one being quite fluffy!)

Rest assured the fluffy SEB you found from years ago was not me! Fluff? Wash your mouth out with soap. LOL! It's not a very original name, but when i checked LJ the name was free so just used it. I did want to be spikes_sadisticbint but it had too many letters!! LOL! My first fic hit LJ on 27th June 2008. Anything earlier than that is not me and all my writings are on my livejournal. Now kicking myself over my crap pen name! :D

Great chapter. You are doing a really great job on the take down of the Initiative. It would have been really easy for Buffy and Spike to just go in and destroy the place. This way is much more effective and hopefully long lasting. I know this is a story but it seems so real. I guess it just reminds me of the evil that man can do.

Thanks for 2 more great chapters! Actually, it was good to learn something of what had happened to Angel. Though somehow I can either see imprisonment, institutionalization or suicide in the Initiative folk's futures, especially Mark & Gunn, if not Riley as well, I pretty well agree they shouldn't get to get away so lightly. All that power and Willow can't help Spike's eyes/hands? And Slayer blood won't help him like Vamp blood has helped Cam? It was lovely to see Spike struggled a bit as to how to handle an overcome Dora, settling for (you Brits!) TEA! LOL! But, sweet... and demonstrating that human and humane, nurturing streak he has, wanting to care for people. Looking forward to more, of course (at least more of this fic--- still not quite sure about some of your others, LOL (says the gal who used to devour HellRaizer and NightBreed comics yrs ago! Talk about DARK!))!!!

Author's Response: I thought you'd like that Angel's soul was released. In my universe magic can't be used to cure ills. It's been mentioned in an earlier chapter and will be reitterated soon. :) It would just be too easy for magic to fix them :D I actually don't like tea, but it is a useful tool. I think I'm mellowing these days! LOL! Working on a Fairy!Spike for my lj - the sequel is Spuffy so could post it here!

Finally! I was getting concerned that this story was not going to be finished. It is wonderful that you showed that a vampire has more humanity than most people, The conversation between Spike and Cam was wonderful. Letting Mark live and everyone know what happened to him is the best justice. That being said I still want Maggie to be tortured. I hope they can make Gunn see that light. I have a guess of what is in the jar. I will keep it to myself, but I hope I am right. Keep up the wonderful work. I love this story,
