I totally didn't think Spike would react like that! I thought he'd be all cool, confident, and sexy, teasing Buffy for her request. I liked this version MUCH better! It was cute and funny that his brain went totally into melt down confusion. But what a sexy finish, once he finally caught on that she was serious. Just oozed possessive sensuality.

I like the conversations about the nunnery the lesbian possibility and the fantasies that came along with that last one. I am surprised that the fact that she has experienced three vampire bites was not brought up as an example so the show me would be more of his explaining the different types of bites. But I do look forward to him showing her the bite he just tried to describe.
Author's Response: I felt that Spike wouldn't bring up those other 'wankers'. Plus Buffy already knows about a bite to kill...Master, a bite due to being out of their mind and needs to feed...Angel and being under a thrall during a bite...Dracula. Spike doesn't want to explain all the types of bites...only passionate ones.

Now that was a pretty good description for being "indescribable"! Buffy doesn't seem to quite know what she's getting herself into. Loved this chapter, I just thought the interaction between the two was great! also love how Spike describes the problem of men. My male cousin once said to me that men, in technical terms, were "Projecty pants". They like to project the best possible virtues on a woman they find attractive but once they actually get to "know" the women, they wonder why she changed when she didn't change at all.
Can't wait to see Spike's reaction!

Great Buffy/Spike interaction - love that he could make her laugh and that she didn't automatically 'blame the messenger' as she did on the show. Hope she didn't go running after the helicopter...

Author's Response: Unfortunately she did go after the helicopter. This story is based mainly behind the scenes or between episodes. So what had happened in that episode still happened. But since Spike, in my story, went after her instead of letting her go alone, has now changed the story.

Go on! Please go on! It's just so nice to have just sweet/fun interactions between Buffy and Spike. Love the angsty UST stories, but sometimes it's just lovely to have them getting along like that. I really like these in-between moments. It's the missing pieces that make what's to come a bit more bearable. I really liked their time on the swings. Nice callback to that moment in Restless from xander's pov. Neat!
