It wasn't until I got to the end of the posted chapters that I discovered that it's been five years since it was updated! I love reading your fics but I'd never seen this one before on any of the others sites. It was amazing to read this story with Spike going through the story and how some things were the same and some different and to see his feelings and reasons and how the relationship with Buffy was changed from what she had with Angel. Spike's interaction with Buffy after he lost his soul in this chapter was perfect and hopeful but at the same time we can't forget he's soulless now and...
Agh, I can't believe this hasn't been updated since 2005! I know that probably means there's no hope and this will remain a wonderful, frustrating, interesting WIP, but I can hope! There is so much left to do with Jenny's uncle being alive and Spike's struggle and Angelus in a chair and the Judge and--!!
Anyway, I wanted you to know this fic was incredible and detailed, though the style seems a little less descriptive and polished as the other fics of your I've read and teh ideas and plots are great. Thank you for posting it, but if you ever get bored or get the urge to add on another chapter please feel free!!

This re-write of the first two seasons with Spike as the souled vamp is amazingly done. I just love it. I like how you stuck to the same scenarios that happened on the show but altered Spike's past to make everything so much more interesting. Especially including a relationship with Nikki and him raising Wood as his own son. I also enjoyed how the relationship between Buffy and Spike was a little more physical and genuine than the one we saw on tv between her and Angel. I know it's been a while since you've updated, and I know you're probably focused on writing Freedom at the moment, but plz consider updating this one soon. It's realllyyyy goooodddd!!!

I don't like the thought of Spike shagging Dru again because of wanting to forgot the slayer; and being evil. I'm glad you didn't have Spike kill Miss Calender. Looking forward to find out how they'll help him. Spike isn't totally evil, or he would have killed Buffy too.
