Author's Response: Because it's a romance built on fate, being meant to be. He pictures her carrying his child and wants it whether it's 9 months from now or 9 years from now. She wants a family she can call her own with him, 9 months from now or 9 years from now. Fate, trust, believing in true love, love at first sight, soulmates take your pick.
