I love this story, but I have to vent about something "Can I still work for now?" O.K. what is this, 1952? Buffy has to ASK Spike if she can still work? Sorry, that doesn't even sound like Buffy, even this version of Buffy. And Spike is LETTING her work until she's pregnant. It just seems out of character for these two.
Author's Response: No, it's a start to show how much they will comminicate, ask, and compromise with each other. If she wanted to continue to work while pregnant she would, and he would have supported her, but she needs someone that puts her first and not the job, takes care of her. For me it is in charater, because she has something she never thought she have and had put everything into a job. He's telling her, YOU are more important, OUR family is more important then this job that you thought was going to be your life. If she loved the job that much, she would've asked about how they could work together. That was the premise of that interaction, sorry if it didn't come out right.

Great chapter. They're just so cute and the family is so funny. I always did like stories where Dru was Spike's sister rather than his psycho girlfriend.
