I was totally envisioning the Buffy/Angel scene in Forever, but this one is so much better. I'm glad Buffy is giving him a chance. Very sweet chapter. =)

Well, that's a happy little truce that they've reached. Though I have to admit they seem to be getting along leaps and bounds better than they were toward the end of last chapter. I guess funerals and other such tragic events bring back the rational part of the brain. Though I do like this track of a more positive relationship (friend or otherwise) that they are taking.

well, this is a positive step forward. Just a random thought... Is Lucy going to be resurrected in this story? Because that could lead to some VERY interesting twists. Especially with how good you write.

I'll bet the "benefits" lead to a more emotionally involving relationship than Buffy imagines. I enjoyed Spike's wistful musing on his ill fated love life. Hope the friendship cuts down of the angst for a bit.

Poor Spike! I only really feel bad for him because he's so torn up about this, cause I must admit to never liking Aubrey very much, mainly due to her attempts at seducing Spike and the like! All the same, I can hardly wait for more, so please update soon!

What? They're going to be friends with benefits now? After all that? I don't think so. Why doesn't he just tell her he never slept with Aubrey. I think Buffy's overdoing it a bit here. It's like all the information she has about his relationship with Aubrey is wrong but Spike won't make the effort to make her see the truth.
