I first want to address the author, I have contacted you personally about the formatting of your story, as someone else recommended, get a beta and do better proofreading. As I said in the email this slipped through with one of our mods because it would not fly with me. I did fix the spacing issue and the warnings. Rape should have been a warning now it is. I will be personally checking your stories from now on, so please get a beta to look over them before you post them.
Now to the 'anonymous' reviewers, if this story is not your cup of tea because you feel the author isn't writing a particular character the way 'you' want them written or 'you' feel they should be written, well you have two options 1. DON'T READ THE STORY and 2. WRITE YOUR OWN STORY THE WAY YOU WANT IT.
This author clearly stated in their summary that this was 'their' version of the episode of Villains. Constructive criticism is well and fine and I think helpful, but chastising any author because they don't share or participate in your Spuffy vision won't cut it.
As stated in our rules, 'Spuffy' don't mean Spike and Buffy have to be fluffy and romantic, they can hate each other, Spike doesn't always have to be making moon eyes and being Buffy's door mat, Buffy doesn't have to keep giving Spike a pass she can do her duty and dust him...So long as they're the central characters in the story Spike and Buffy can do whatever they want to and for each other.

I swear to you 'this' is exactly the way I had always wanted/envisioned 'Lies my Parents told Me'. Mainly Buffy taking partial blame for Spike's attack on her in the bathroom. Her finally vocalizing her love, and when the situation wasn't so dire was perfect. Thank you for making this a fanfic reality for me.
