Oh, wow. I really am not sorry for reading this one. I practicaly devoured it, once I started reading it yesterday and you got me hooked up by every chapter, not once losing my interest :)
The way you portrayed Spike in his blindness and other characters... it was perfect and totally beliveable.I even got teared up more than once and that doesn't happen easily with me :)
And the end... gosh such a beautiful way to do it.
Again, loved reading it... now i'm off to read some more of your stuff and leave my eye open if you post something new :)

my tears were running freely from almost at the very beginning, but where i truly started crying was when Spike said at her grave: ''I hope that I don’t anger you for scattering my dust upon your sacred grave. I just couldn’t fathom any other place where I would want to be.”
why am i telling you this? because it's hard to make me cry and you did it great, bringing out the emotions of mine and i've felt like i was there, feeling what he felt.
truly beautifuly writen..and afcourse the end made me smile. no hell for Spike - only heaven that is Buffy...
loved how you described life of Dawn and her death. it was very moving too.
i am very sorry for Your loss.. and if this piece inspired you by how your grandfather felt about your grandmum, then that truly was a great love... undying and perfect through all of the years.

I can see right here - and I agree with your written words - that that was EXACTLY how Spike felt every time she came to him. He felt used and no wonder he snapped like we saw in the show. Truly sad in his and hers part.
He very probably wished he was stronger willed, but when it came to Buffy I imagine he would succumb to her for the love he felt towards her. He'd do anything for her even if she kept using him, because he would still have her at least that way.

It's better that he stopped himself before he took things even further, she was already scared enough, even if he doesn't care for her feelings yet that much.

Been looking forward to seeing this story continue. Spuffy sceene was unexpected, but you pulled it off well :) Buffy felt desperate, and such things would happen when you have no other weapon or ace up your sleeve than yourself.the feelings that came with it were clearly unexpected too even if all lead to that. Now she's disgusted at herself and Spike heartbroken.
the lie he told Angelus though... would the other man let it go that easily?..

Author's Response: It\'s interesting that a few people have picked up on the Angel thing, I was in two minds whether to include that part of them talking about Buffy, but I\'ve put more of Angel in than originally outlined in my story plan because it just feels right...and good to have him as the looming threat to their happiness (if they were to make it to happy)...Angel\'s is not out of the picture just yet so I won\'t be letting it go...I\'m glad you think I pulled the spuffy scene off too :)

oh my... i think i would have gone crazy too in her position. he kidnaps her and then brings her cake like it's just another normal day for her and not a prison. i mean.. he wants her to be comfortable i guess but... i swear i would have snapped too =) and i won't even mention the part where she has no window or other connection to the outside world but him..and that just 3 times per day... she's good =)

Author's Response: Thankyou! Most people tend to be biased and not like stropy Buffy in stories regardless of why she is throwing a tantrum. I\'m pleased everyone is seeng Buffy\'s side, because she is in the right. Spike is just stuck in a situation he doesn\'t want to be in, he doesn\'t know what to do, all he knows is that if Buffy plays along it\'ll be easier for him and so he expects her to do just that...update soon! Things get worse for Buffy!
