Okay, admit it, I made you laugh (and hopefully anyone else reading these). The real deal this time. I love the juxtaposition of the framing conversations, between Willow and Angel and then at the end between Buffy and Willow. Very real, and for once on Willow's part, self reflection about what she'd done in the past -- the way she didn't support Buffy. It just highlights the lack of same from Sir Broodypants. And the Buffy - Spike moments in between were wrenching in a way, but a good way. They love each other. Truly, madly and deeply. But they've also hurt each other -- and truly, neither one of them should think -- they should just feel. Trust your feelings Luke . . I mean Spike and Buffy. They will always lead you back to each other. Maybe they need an Obi Wan.

Actually, this is one of the best AtS season 5 re-writes I have seen. You don't need to explain anything, though I can understand why you felt you should. Brilliant writing so far, and I congratulate you on your nominations. And just a side note -- perhaps to explain why Lorne feels so violated. As an empath and a psychic I can tell you there is no other sin as bad as what Angel did by erasing their memories. He effectively raped them of two years of their lives -- to suit his purposes. Not the mark of a champion. Not the mark of a hero -- not by a long shot. And lastly but leastly it is definitely not the mark of a friend to do what he did. Kudos to you for pointing it out and writing about it. I can't wait to see what else you do with this.

How to write a rape scene between two characters who are attracted to each other and eventually fall in love; Its a fine line between brutaility and wanting -- and yes your body does betray you -- again because its a fine delicate line. I am completely impressed with the way you handled this -- her emotions, from fear to reluctant attraction to her own body's betrayal. Its a line you walked very well. You covered all the bases in an honest and forthright way, no compromise to the story or the emotions, you didn't shortchange anything. Wonderfully writen. . . No flames. Kudos.
