Loved how much Spike does cares for Buffy - even when he wouldn't dare to say it aloud. And Buffy had a deathwish - Spike did see it (and how he told) this was the reason she's still alive. Looking forward to what will be next.

OMG! I just love this fic! I love how it seemed like Spike was going to apologize for what he did, using chocolate frogurt as his peace offering for hurting her. Instead, he uses his beating her up to his own advantage, to get her to question why she bothers to save people who don't even acknowledge what she does, or care about her, or about anyone, but themselves. Then you have Buffy questioning whether or not she even wants to live! This Buffy is so confused, so completely lonely and so used to following orders that you have her almost falling into submission with Spike. And then there is Spike...So evil but yet still so caring. Even when he's toying with her mind he's still considerate enough to give her some money to get some food, still carries her up to bed in his arms when she falls asleep. He can't even act on his own evil desires, turning them into fantasies instead to get himself off. Some might call the last part of the chapter perverse, but I think its a perfect, even if dark, way to show the change in Spike and the feelings he's growing for Buffy. Okay, I think I've rambled enough. Plz update soon.

Very intense chapter. Definitely pulled me in. I love how you have not thrust Spike into goodness because at this point he really is very amoral. It's sad to see Buffy as such a "Slayer". I would almost rather see her wicked then without any life or emotions. I'm so intrigued on where this story is going to go. Can't wait to see!

A hard way to stop her, the frying pan, but it worked. And now Buffy knows the basement, too. Her fear of loneliness is really her weakness. And she does miss her mum. Was Buffy taken away from her mother when she was Chosen? Is that why she flipped from Spike's teasing? Your characterizations of Buffy and Spike in this verse is so well done. Buffy's fear of loneliness being her only weakness makes so much sense. And even though we sometimes forget because of the few glimpses we see of his softer playful side (for example with the chocolate icecream), Spike is still very much an inately evil vampire. This chapter was a little dark, which I'm all for. I love the dark fics. I can't wait to see where it goes from here. Plz update soon. I'm just lovin' it.

I like how even though both Buffy and Spike should have already parted ways, something is keeping them together.
