Sweet & sad. Seems like too much emotional baggage of Buffy's to deal with realistically in such a short fic; didn't really work for me. Also, not sure why this is in the NC-17 fics, didn't seem like one.

This story had some real potential, you write really well and the first chapter was brilliant, but after that it became a bit rushed.
This story made me well up in the end, and I think that if you had made it just a bit longer, let us see a little bit more into the characters you would have had a winner, because you really do have some good writing skills.

I liked the story, though the speech pattern didn't really match Spike. He didn't sound particularly British. And Buffy didn't have any of the quirky phrases that make her sound like her character.

Awww, rarely do stories get me teary, but this one really did. I felt so bad for Buffy when she was talking about her past. That is too much for anyone to deal with. If there's one thing I really can't stand, it's drunk drivers. I was hit by one a few months ago on my birthday. It's definitely one I'll never forget. I'm just lucky to be here right now. Your story really touched me and it was very well done. Good work=)

Oh my.. what a fate Buffy had. She lost a lot when growing up. Money isn't worth everything. (Question: last mane = last name?) I hope her bad luck will be broken now.. that she won't loose Spike too. *sniff* Loved the epilog.
