Delightful tale with original plot. I just adore Merel and her influence on the Scoobies to encourage Spike's acceptance into the group. Much prefer your version of Tabula Rasa... But where are the Nerds? I'm off to start the sequel now....

I have just spent an entire day reading this story because I was so hooked. I love the playful tone of this piece, Meret was, strangely, personified beautifully and it was nice to bring out the caring side of Spike through an animal rather than Dawn. I am always a fan of fics that explore the relationship between Tara and Spike and this was particularly sweet: the bandages were a nice touch. Something that really struck me about this piece was that you chose to discard the kisses in OMWF and Tabula Rasa: the destructive relationship between Spike and Buffy in Season 6 is, for me, always difficult to reconcile with an ultimately loving relationship so I think you 'did good'!

Not sure if this is a wip or if this is the end, it is a lovely humorous ending if so and if not I am truly looking forward to the next installment.

A wonderful story and fully deserving of its award at LLGA.

Author's Response: Thank you! That's the end of this story, but I'm posting the sequel now if you're interested. I'm glad you liked the departure from OMWF. That kiss is the point where I thought the Spike and Buffy's relationship took a nose dive. I was really aiming for a healthy relationship in the end, so I felt that the kiss had to go. And yeah, I love Tara and thought that she and Spike could have had an interesting dynamic. Thanks for reviewing!
