Oh, I've just finished reading this sweet story, Sanityfair, and it's left me all smiling and warm, although a bit nostalgic, as I think you really captured how it might have been between Buffy and Spike if the show hadn't gone so dark. Maybe things wouldn't have been quite so easy (ah, the unrestrained freedom of fanfic!), but somehow it works here. I think it's because you got the voices just right and that came across even more powerfully as the story moved on. Sorry I didn't review each chapter after the first, but I really didn't want to break the momentum - I was too caught up in what was going to happen next! I kept expecting something awful to intervene and wreck things, but I'm so glad it didn't. It was wonderful to see them just giving one another a chance, (or rather Buffy giving Spike a chance) for a change. The rest just flowed from that and was entirely believable. You made the characterizations so likeable. I hope you do revisit this in a one-shot, although you'd probably have to throw a spanner in the works and I can't bear the thought of a sudden onset of angst tainting the happy bubble they were in at the end (I'm subjecting myself to enough angst in my own writing!). Anyway, many congratulations, I really enjoyed the journey and am looking forward to see what you're working on next.

Just finished reading the first chapter and I'm hungry for more!!! Love the way you write dialogue and the characters' feelings. It sounds very authentic.

And staying the night was just another sign. So good to see them happy.

I did enjoy, but spotted the following:

Missing an 'a'.

Missing a quotation mark.

There are also a few errant/missing commas and with three betas one would've expected one of them to have pointed out the saying is 'one and the same' not 'one in the same', but enjoyable fic, altogether.
