This Slayer disease idea is pretty interesting, but of course the really conflict is going to teh triangle of Buffy, Spike & Carlotta. It'll be intersting to see if Buffy can handle Spike with another woman. I hope she doesn't come out hitting; things will get ugly. Great story!

I'm delighted to have found this story again. I readthe first two chapters and was thoroughly caught, and then I losttrack of it. Finding it again is a delight. I particularly like Carlotta - someone who loves Spike for himself and who has given him the strength to believe in himself and who he values moe than Buffy. Love this story and the shifting perspectives; very well done. Thanks and I look forward to more.

It was a compliment. Yours is the first fic with S/other content that doesn't make me want to heave, lol. I agree with Lizzy's conclusion. Had Spike told Buffy he was alive they may have split up following Angel's shanshu... Still Spike caring for another woman to the same extent as Buffy is difff....icult . But I'm hanging there so keep the chapters coming and make it a very convincing Spuffy ending. No doubt on either's parts that they are meant for each other.

I was going to have you bend over and give your muse the twenty lashes, but I think you have got under control. As always beautifully written, i think have converted me into giving up on all that smut that i love so much. Really though, this is so beautifully written I can really see how Buffy needs to be with Angel and Spikes needs Lotta. They need the others to move on, and bring them back to each other. I really like the way you are using tense and perspective. I understood who she was with and who she was thinking of in your first chapter, but I like the way you switched the POV from Angel to Buffy in the second chapter. I particulalry like the idea that she sees that he os drifting away because he's becoming too light to stay with her, and that at some point he will inevitably leave, and that's okay. Lovely phrasing and I'm glad you decided to extend the story. Looking forward to more.

quick thought on the story. buffy is with someone else after she was with spike... they never mention spike's name and buffy's not happy. may be wrong, but oh well. can't wait for you to update :-)

I really like this. You've woven all of the key point that I can think of into his thoughts in a very subtle way. I particularly like the idea that as he spend s more time as a human, he loses his connection to her. Neat idea! Of course I want to see more! I want to see the secrets revealed.

I'm at a loss what to think when I don't know who's with Buffy. Has Spike turned human and she is falling out of love with him (then what's the point?)? Is it someone else? Whose name do they never mention? Well written though.
