When I watched Something Blue I thought the same thing. When the spell was off he didn't immediately pull away. It seemed like he was wating to see how she would react first. When he saw the look of disgust in her face he played along.

It was a very nice ending. It's best to end things when you feel they are over instead of dragging it out when you're just not into it. Great job! Loved the story.
