LOL - You did a wonderful send off for Riley but I like your NOTES even more. It's nice reading some of your work again. I wish that you had completed that sequel for Replay but you left it at a really good place. On to this story instead.

Just found this story and I love it! I agree it makes more sense for the key to arrive as a baby rather than as a 14 yr old girl, although I understand why they didn't do it this way on the show, SMG wouldn't have fancied all that padding!

Absolutely brilliant premise. I wondered at the time why they'd pick a bratty kid sister when a baby would have made so much more sense... except perhaps for the filming schedule... and of course SMG wouldn't have wanted to wear all that padding... and fight scenes would have been tricky... Oh all right so a baby would have been a bit inconvenient but at least the plot would have made sense!

A truly wonderful ending. And I'm very glad that WIllow didn't go though and muck things up for everyone. And I can just imagine all of the indignance of Spike dealing with those annoying PTB trying to figure out where he should be. A really wonderful story. Thanks for sharing.

"Buffy dug her nails into the dust below her. The remains of Spike were somewhere in this mess. But he was lost to her." As sad as it always is when our Spike dies, it always breaks my heart to know that he's doomed to not leave a body behind. Granted we all turn to ash... especially if we choose to be creamated, but the face that he doesn't have to wait for that... A lovely chapter, an unavoidable ending. Superbly well written.
