OOOOOO ... sweet chapter update. I like Oz and Spike bonding there. Very good. I always thought those two could have a lot more in common if Oz had stayed on the show longer. I loved Buffy and her "promise" at the end. They are going to find out just what Oz warned them about ... don't try to break the claim. They are a bunch of idiots. I hope Oz can talk some sense into Willow. If not, she's going to go down with the rest of them. Buffy and Spike aren't going to be happy campers once they are reunited. They are going to want revenge of some sort. Excellent update. Look forward to more.

Author's Response: I wanted Oz on the show too, but alas I wanted a Spuffy baby (I know that sounds weird, but still. Which leads me to a 'rumor' from season 6 that I was E-mailed, revealed on a fan site and truly believe would have panned out had the show gone into season 8, but....) anyway, they are idiots, the gang, but hopefully they'll come around? NO NOOOOO ... I swear I'm going to kick all of their arrogant, self-absorbed, self-righteous asses. Hope they get their just deserves. I think Oz needs to come kick some Scooby ass. Even though they don't want to tell Riley that Oz is a werewolf, he might have to so that he can get his point across. Oz, being a territorial breed, would understand the nature of claims. {growls} So going to kick someone's butt for separating our two lovers.

Yeah ... {Claps} Spike and Buffy really laid it on Giles. I was glad to see Oz chipping in there for the couple too. Wolves are very territorial and mates ... very essential to a werewolf/wolf. I hope Willow takes his advice. I don't think she realizes what kind of insults she would be doing to Oz too if she tried to get between someone else and their mate. That could make Oz feel that she doesn't treat mating as a sacred union if it doesn't suit her purpose. That definitely wouldn't bode well for the two of them. Look forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response: I'm very interested in wolves (especially as connected to BTVS/ATS) for very good reason. First off, I always thought it interesting that Spike was 'Randy/Randalph' in Tabula Rasa. Randalph translated from old Germanic tongue means: Rand (rim/or protective shield) 'Alph' or (Rand)Wulf which of course equals wolf. Also, Dracula transformed into a wolf in that episode and was quite attached to them (creatures of the night) in the book and movies. Also, wolves, as you said are extrememly devoted to each other, especially the Alpha Female/Alpha Male. Anyway, I digress, but yes I wanted Oz as the 3rd person POV because he seems to get left out in alot of fictions and I just loved him! He will play a major part in the fiction as it progresses. I really like your story but I am not looking forward to the unhappiness that will happen to Buffy and Spike. Can't wait for the next update. I did like this chapter and the prior chapters where the scoobies were not involved. The only thing I hope is that Riley is not actively involved in this story.
