Oh gosh! I was horrified for a minute there with the legs.... but he's ok. Well... he will be... after he gets out of the torture chamber. Glad Buffy got out, now she just needs to rescue Spike! Awesome chapter! Update soon!!

So, if you were stuck in a room, surrounded by mirrors and flooded in light and Spike had to take all his clothes off - would you still call it torture (what a way to go!). Glad Buff made the break (and we know she won't stay away and leave Spike to Angel's tender mercies). Can't wait to see how this all works out. Just wanted to let you know I am enjoying the pace on this story, and adored the Angelus head kicking. The use of contrasts through The Phantom of the Opera was wonderful. Looking forward to the next one.

I like the parallels you've used with 'The Phantom of the Opera.' When I think of Spike, I think of Erik...especially after watching the movie (watching the Phantom making those loving faces towards Christine reminded me soo much of Spike's faces towards Buffy...I cried!) I also love the trust and security they're finding in each other...I was afraid when Angelus got there, but Buffy dealt pretty well with him...and did I sense some foreshadowing with his taunt towards Spike 'falling in love?' Love this story, and I can't wait for more!!

Very sweet chapter. Liked Angelus getting his face beat on. Touching moments between Buffy and Spike. Their analogies and inner sights about each other was poetic and right on. Very fitting that she was reading Phantom of the Opera. Good choice of literature to set the stage during this fic. I look forward to the update.
